Open data refers to data that anyone can use for any commercial or non-commercial purpose. For our sector, the biggest open data initiative is OpenActive which focuses on the opening of "opportunity data" - i.e. data about opportunities to be active, such as information about running groups, available badminton courts, and spaces in yoga classes.
